Asset Acceptance Capital Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to purchase and collect charged-off accounts receivable portfolios from consumer credit originators. Charged-off receivables are the unpaid obligations of individuals to credit originators, such as credit card issuers, consumer finance companies, retail merchants and telecommunications and other utility provider from resellers and other holders of consumer debt. As part of the collection process, the Group occasionally sells receivables from these portfolios to unaffiliated companies. The Group selectively deploys its capital in the primary, secondary and tertiary markets. It also finances the sales of consumer product retailers located primarily in Michigan and Florida.
