Top 10 Canadian Financial Trust. The Group's principal activity is that of an investment trust. The Trust invests exclusively in securities of the six Canadian banks and four life insurance companies. The Trust generally invests not less than 5% and not more than 15% of the Trust's assets in each of the companies in the financial portfolio. Further, in order to generate additional returns above the dividend income generated by the portfolio, the Trust, from time to time write covered call options. The financial portfolio currently includes the securities of the following companies: Bank of Montreal, The Bank of Nova Scotia, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, National Bank of Canada, Royal Bank of Canada, The Toronto-Dominion Bank, Great-West Lifeco Inc, Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc, Manulife Financial Corporation and Sun Life Financial Inc.
