Vodafone Egypt. The Group's principal activity is to design, construct, develop, own and operate GSM mobile telecommunication facilities. The Group also provides GSM services and GSM terminal equipment as well as provides and sells other telecommunication equipment. The Group provides services including pre-paid lines, Short-Message-Service ("SMS"), Dual SIM, Wireless Fax and E-mail, and IVR and GPRS coverage nationwide, balance transfer and mobile government. In May 2007, the Group launched its 3G Broadband state-of-the-art technology and products with a range of services among which are the video calling, Mobile TV, and Full Track Music Downloads for the consumer sector; and the Vodafone Mobile Connect (VMC), USB (Universal Serial Bus) Modem, Little Box for the enterprise sector; as well as high speed internet browsing and downloads for all users. The Group operates in Egypt. In September 2006, the Group acquired Raya Telecom.
