Business Description
Renova Energy PLC. The Group's principal activity is marketing, producing and distributing fuel grade ethanol. The Group has a network of bulk storage terminals located throughout its market area. This network enables the Group to provide its customers with access to a lower cost alternative to regular gasoline. Customers collect the product en route from refineries or gasoline distribution outlets to their retail outlets and the ethanol is 'splash blended' with the gasoline in the tanker whilst in transit. Splash blending is a process achieved through the combination of ethanol and gasoline in the tanker. The Group has 85 ethanol plants in the United States of America with a total production capacity of 3.8 Bgal/y. A further 15 plants with 739 MMgal/y capacity are under construction. The plants are concentrated in the Mid-West states of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.
