Business Description
American Realty Investors, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to acquire, develop and own income-producing residential, hotel and commercial real estate properties. It also acquires land for future development in in-fill or high-growth suburban markets. The Group generates revenues by leasing apartment units to residents; leasing office, industrial and retail space to various for-profit businesses as well as certain local, state and federal agencies; leasing trade show and exhibit space to temporary as well as long-term tenants and renting hotel rooms to guests. As of 12-Dec-2008, its income-producing properties consisted of 5.9 million rentable square feet of commercial properties, including 20 office buildings, 8 industrial properties, 5 retail properties and a 344,975 square foot trade show and exhibit hall, 60 residential apartment communities and five hotels comprising 808 rooms. On 28-Mar-2008, the Group sold all of its shares in S.P. Zoo (a Polish Corporation).
