Business Description
Ameris Bancorp. The Group's principal activity is to provide banking services to its retail and commercial customers located in Georgia, Alabama, northern Florida and South Carolina. The Group provides deposit accounts and services to both retail and commercial customers and consist of interest-bearing and noninterest-bearing accounts, including commercial and retail checking accounts, regular interest-bearing savings accounts, money market accounts, individual retirement accounts and certificates of deposit. It also provides commercial and retail lending services to business entities and individuals, includes agricultural loans, commercial business loans, commercial and residential real estate construction and mortgage loans, consumer loans, revolving lines of credit and letters of credit. It also originates first mortgage residential mortgage loans and generally enters into a commitment to sell these loans in the secondary market. It operates 50 domestic banking offices.
