Business Description
Amtech Systems Incorporated. The Group's principal activities are developing, manufacturing, marketing and servicing wafer and semiconductor fabrication equipment and related parts. The products are used in the manufacture of wafers of various materials, primarily silicon wafers for the semiconductor industry and in certain semiconductor fabrication processes. The Group operates through two business segments: Semiconductor Equipment and Polishing Supplies. Semiconductor equipment segment designs, manufactures and markets semiconductor wafer processing and handling equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits, solar cells and MEMS. Polishing supplies segment designs, manufactures and markets carriers, templates and equipment used in the lapping and polishing of wafer-thin materials,including silicon wafers used in the production of semiconductors. The Group operates in the United States, Asia and Europe.
