Appliance Recycling Centers of America, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to selling new major household appliances. It also provide turnkey appliance recycling services for electric utilities and other sponsors of energy efficiency programs. The Group provides these services to more than 700 million major household appliances in the United States. These appliances include: Refrigerators, Freezers, Ranges/ovens, Dishwashers, Microwave ovens, Washers, Dryers, Room air conditioners, Dehumidifiers and Humidifiers. As of March 2009, ApplianceSmart was operating twenty factory outlets: Six in the Minneapolis/St Paul market; one in Rochester, Minn, four in the Columbus, Ohio, market, six in the Atlanta market; and three in the San Antonio, Texas, market. The Group sells appliances through a chain of company-owned factory outlet stores under the name ApplianceSmart(R). It operates in the United States.
