Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is that of a Real estate investment trust. The Group owns the hotels in fee simple except for the Radisson Hotel in Covington, Kentucky, the Doubletree Guest Suites in Columbus, Ohio, the Hilton in Ft. Worth, Texas, the Radisson Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Crowne Plaza in Key West, Florida, the JW Marriott in San Francisco, California. The Group leases these hotels to Ashford TRS Corporation. Ashford TRS Corporation then engages hotel management companies to operate these hotels under management contracts. In addition, the Group provides asset management and consulting services. As of 31-Dec-2007, the Group owned 97 hotel properties with 23,255 total rooms. Of the total 102 hotel properties, 109 are located in the United States and one in Canada.
