Astec Industries Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to design, engineer, manufacture and market equipment and components used primarily in road building, utility and related construction activities. It operates through four segments. Asphalt Group: Designs, manufactures and markets a complete line of asphalt plants and related components under the ASTEC(R) trademark. Aggregate and Mining Group: Comprises of six business units focused on the aggregate, metallic mining and recycling markets. Mobile Asphalt Paving Group: Designs, engineers, manufactures and markets asphalt pavers, material transfer vehicles and milling machines and a line of asphalt reclaiming and soil stabilizing machinery. The Group has 14 manufacturing companies. The Group operates in the United States, Asia, Europe, Canada, Australia, Africa and other countries.
