Business Description
Axcelis Technologies, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to produce ion implantation, dry strip, thermal processing and curing equipment used in the fabrication of semiconductor chips. The Group also provides after aftermarket service and support, including spare parts, equipment upgrades, maintenance services and customer training. The Group has joint venture with Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd in Japan that licenses ion implantation technology and manufactures and sells the products in Japan. Products of the Group are sold in the United States, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, China, Japan, Malaysia, Italy, Germany and France. These products are sold directly as well as through distributors and manufacturing representatives. Customers of the Group include Samsung, Micron and IBM.
