Business Description
Ballantyne Strong Incorporated Formerly known as Ballantyne of Omaha, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to design, develop, manufacture and distribute commercial motion picture equipment, lighting systems and restaurant equipment. It operates through two business segments. The Theatre segment operations include designing, manufacturing, assembling and marketing of motion picture projectors, xenon lamphouses and power supplies, sound systems, film handling equipment and the sale of xenon lamps and lenses. The operations of the Lighting segment include design, manufacture, assembly and sale of follow spotlights, stationary searchlights and computer operated lighting systems for the motion picture production, television, live entertainment, theme parks and architectural industries. In 2007, the Group discontinued the restaurant segment .
