Business Description
Banner Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to provide commercial banking and consumer finance services to individuals, businesses and public sector entities. It accepts deposits and provides commercial, savings and consumer loans to its customers. The deposits accepted include demand checking, NOW, money market deposit and regular savings accounts, certificates of deposit and retirement savings plans. The lending activities of the Group include commercial business and commercial real estate loans, agricultural business loans, construction and land development loans, one- to four-family residential loans and consumer Loan. In addition it also invests in securities, primarily in the government and agency securities, municipal bonds, certificates of deposit, marketable corporate debt obligations and mortgage-backed securities. At 31-Dec-2008, the Group operated 83 branch offices and 10 loan offices in 27 counties in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
