Becton, Dickinson and Company. The Group's principal activities are to manufacture and sell medical supplies, devices, laboratory equipment and diagnostic products. The Group operates through three Segments: Medical, Diagnostics and Biosciences. Medical Segment manufactures hypodermic syringes and needles, infusion therapy devices, anesthesia needles, critical care systems and thermometers. The products manufactured by the Diagnostics Segment are integrated systems for specimen collection, safety-engineered blood collection products and systems, molecular testing systems and others. Biosciences Segment produces research and clinical tools that facilitate the study of cells to gain a better understanding of normal and disease processes.
