Business Description
Cagle's, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to produce market and distribute a wide range of fresh and frozen poultry products. The operations consist of breeding, hatching and growing of chicken and processing the chicken into deboned breast and thigh meat, cut-up marinated raw breaded chicken, government school lunch product, fast-food cuts, individually quick frozen products, and mechanically deboned chicken meat. The products are sold to independent and chain supermarkets, food distributors and food processing companies, fast-food chains, restaurants, schools and distributors. It owns two hatcheries located in Dalton and Forsyth, Georgia and sources its broiler chicken stock from its own breeder flock maintained at 40 contract grower farms located in north Georgia. It also mills and processes feed at its three mills in Forsyth and Rockmart. It owns freezing facilities at Atlanta, Pine Mountain and Perry in Georgia and Collinsville in Alabama.
