Capitalsource Inc. The Group's principal activity is to operate as a commercial finance, investment and asset management company focused on the middle market. It operates as a real estate investment trust (REIT) and provides senior and subordinate commercial loans, invests in real estate and residential mortgage assets, and engages in asset management and servicing activities. It has three operating segments namely, Commercial Finance, Healthcare Net Lease and Residential Mortgage Investment. Healthcare Net Lease segment engages in investment in income-producing healthcare facilities, principally long-term care facilities in the United States.
