Cedar Shopping Centers, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to own, operate and redevelop community and neighbourhood shopping centres. The Group focuses its investment activities on supermarket-anchored community shopping centres and drug store-anchored convenience centres, primarily located in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, anchored principally by regional and national grocery store chains. It also currently maintains property management, construction management and/or leasing offices of its shopping-centre properties. As at 31-Dec-2008, the Group owned 121 properties, aggregating approximately 12.1 million square feet of gross leasable area. In 2008, the Group acquired four shopping and convenience centres aggregating approximately 268,000 sq. ft.
