Business Description
Cell Genesys, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are researching, developing and commercializing novel biological therapies for patients with cancer. It currently has three product platforms: GVAX cancer vaccines, oncolytic virus therapies and cancer gene therapies. The Group conducts clinical trials in multiple types of cancer utilizing its GVAX cancer vaccines and oncolytic virus therapy product platforms. GVAX vaccines consist of irradiated tumor cells, genetically modified to secrete a hormone that stimulates the body's immune response to vaccines. Oncolytic virus therapies which employ genetically modified adenoviruses are engineered to selectively replicate in and kill cancer cells.
