Business Description
Centene Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to provide multi-line managed care programs and related services to organizations and individuals receiving benefits under Medicaid, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). The Group provides health insurance to low-income families and cash assistance and full Medicaid benefits to aged, blind or disabled. In addition, the Group contracts with other healthcare organizations to provide specialty services including behavioral health, nurse triage and pharmacy compliance. The Group operates health plans in Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin. During 2007, the Group acquired Access Health Solution LLC and PhyTrust of South Carolina.
