Business Description
Central Vermont Public Service Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to purchase, production, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. It operates in two segments: regulated utility business and the aggregate of the other non-utility companies. The regulated utility business engages in the purchase, production, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity in Vermont. The other non-utility companies segment engages in the sale and rental of electric water heaters in Vermont and New Hampshire through its wholly owned subsidiary, SmartEnergy Water Heating Services Inc. It also sell excess power, if any, to third parties in New England and to ISO-New England. It serves approximately 159,000 customers in nearly two-thirds of the towns, villages and cities in Vermont.
