Charles River Laboratories International Inc. The Group's principal activity is providing solutions that accelerate the drug discovery and development process. It partners with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, government agencies and academic institutions worldwide in order to bring drugs to market faster and more efficiently. The Group currently operates approximately 70 facilities in 15 countries worldwide. Its activities are carried out through two segments: Preclinical Services (PCS) and Research Models and Services (RMS). PCS includes development services which enable customers to accelerate their drug discovery and development process. RMS includes its research model business, research model services, vaccine support services and in vitro technology services. The Group has operations in the United States, Canada, Scotland, Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan and Mexico.
