Business Description
Cogdell Spencer Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to own, develop, redevelop, acquire and manage strategically located medical office buildings and other healthcare related facilities in the southeastern United States. It is a self-administered and self-managed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and qualifies under sections 856 through 860 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. It operates in two segments: Property Operations and Design-Build and development. Property Operations segment owns and manages properties for third parties. Design-Build and Development segment provides architecture, construction, and development services for properties owned by the Company and for third parties. On 31-Dec-2008, the Group portfolio consisted of 62 wholly owned properties, three joint venture properties, and manages 51 properties for third party clients totaling approximately 2.5 million net rentable square feet. On 10-Mar-2008, the Group's completed acquired of MEA Holdings, Inc.
