Business Description
Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to distribute or transport natural gas customers. Its distribution and transportation systems are located in central and southeastern Kentucky and it owns and operates an underground storage field in southeastern Kentucky. The Group operates through two segments: Regulated Segment and Non-Regulated Segment. Regulated segment sells natural gas to its retail customers in 23 predominantly rural counties. This segment also transports gas to industrial customers on its system who purchase gas in the open market. The Non-regulated segment operates through three wholly-owned subsidiaries, under this segment Group purchase natural gas in the open market and from Kentucky producers and resells this gas to industrial customers on its distribution system and to others which are not on its system.
