Business Description
Dynex Capital, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide financial services. The services consist of making investments in a portfolio of securities and other investments that are backed principally by single family mortgage loans, commercial mortgage loans, manufactured housing installment loans and delinquent property tax receivables. Through its specialty finance business, the Group provides for the purchase and leaseback of single family model homes to builders and the purchase and management of delinquent property tax receivables. It has elected to be treated as a real estate investment trust (REIT) for federal income tax purposes under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
