Business Description
Encore Wire Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture copper electrical building wire and cable. It also supplies building wire for interior electrical wiring in homes, apartments, manufactured housing, and in commercial and industrial buildings. The Group offers an electric building wire product line that consists of NM-B cable, UF-B cable, THWN-2 and other types of wire products,including armored cable. It also purchases raw materials necessary to manufacture various PVC thermoplastic compounds and produces copper rod. The products are sold through 30 manufacturers' representatives located throughout the United States and to a lesser extent, through its own direct marketing efforts.
