Escalon Medical Corp.. The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture, market and distribute ophthalmic medical devices, pharmaceutical and vascular access products. The Group operates through five Segments: Drew, Sonomed, Vascular, Medical/Trek and EMI. The Drew segment designs, manufactures and distributes instruments for blood cell counting and blood analysis. The Sonomed segment develops, manufactures and markets ultrasound systems used for diagnostic or biometric applications in ophthalmology. The Vascular develops, manufactures and markets vascular access products presently focusing on selling to cardiac catheterization laboratories. The Medical/Trek develops, manufactures and distributes ophthalmic surgical products. EMI manufactures and markets digital camera system for ophthalmic fundus photography. It sells its products in U.S and Europe. On 29-May-2008 the company acquired JAS Diagnostics Inc.
