Business Description
Florida Community Banks Inc. The Group's principal activity is to solicit deposits from the general public and investing such deposits, together with other funds, in commercial loans, consumer loans, agricultural loans, and real estate loans. It invests funds in securities issued or guaranteed by agencies of the United States Government and municipalities. The deposit accounts, include demand deposit accounts, negotiable order of withdrawal accounts (NOW accounts), money market accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit and various retirement accounts. In addition, it belongs to an electronic banking network so that its customers may use the automated teller machines of other financial institutions and operates drive-in teller services and 24-hour depository vaults. The Group provides service to individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, professionals and other local organizations. At 31-Dec-2008, the Group operated eleven branch offices.
