G-III Apparel Group, Ltd.. The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture, import and market outerwear and sportswear and accessories. The products include coats, jackets, pants, skirts & other sportswear items under licensed proprietary labels and private retail labels. The Group operates through three segments: licensed apparel, non-licensed apparel and retail operations. The licensed apparel segment includes sales of apparel brands licensed by it from third parties. The non-licensed apparel segment principally includes sales of apparel under its own brands and private label brands. The retail segment consists of retail outlet stores. In February 2008, it acquired Andrew Marc. In July 2008, the Group acquired 116 Wilsons Leather retail outlet stores.
