Business Description
Gulf Island Fabrication Inc. The Group's principal activity is to provide fabrication of offshore drilling and production platforms and other specialized structures used in the development and production of offshore oil and gas reserves. The structures and equipment fabricated by the Group include jackets, deck sections of fixed production platforms, hull, tendon, and/or deck sections of floating production platforms, piles, wellhead protectors, subsea templates and various production, compressor, and utility modules. The Group also provides services including offshore platforms, inshore steel and wood structure construction, fabrication of pressure vessels and steel warehousing and sales. It also produces and repairs pressure vessels used in the oil and gas industry, refurbish existing platforms and fabricate various other types of steel structures. The major customers are Bluewater Industries Inc, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Ltd, Chevron Corporation.
