H&E Equipment Services, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to integrate equipment services focused on heavy construction and industrial equipment in the United States. It rents, sells and provides parts and service support for four core categories of specialized equipment: hi-lift or aerial work platform equipment; cranes; earthmoving equipment and industrial lift trucks. It operates in five segments: Equipment Rentals; New Equipment Sales; Used Equipment Sales; Parts Sales and Repair and Maintenance Services. Equipment Rentals segment rents heavy construction and industrial equipment. New Equipment Sales segment sells new equipment. Used Equipment Sales segment sells used equipment from its rental fleet. Parts Sales segment sells new and used parts for the equipment and provides parts to own rental fleet. Repair and Maintenance Services segment provides maintenance and repair services for customers' equipment and to its own rental fleet. On 01-Sep 2007, it acquired J.W. Burress.
