Harris Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to provide communications products, system and service solutions for commercial and government customers. The Group operates through three segments: RF Communications, Government Communications Systems and Broadcast Communications. RF Communications comprised of Tactical Radio Communications and Public Safety and Professional Communications businesses. Government Communications Systems comprised of Defense Programs, National Intelligence Programs, Civil Programs and IT Services businesses. Broadcast Communications comprised of Infrastructure and Networking Solutions, Media and Workflow and Transmission Systems businesses. On 15-Apr-2009, the Group acquired Crucial Security Inc. On 29-May-2009, it acquired the Tyco Electronics wireless systems business. On 19-June-2009, it acquired Air Traffic Control business unit of SolaCom Technologies Inc. On 27-May-2009, it completed the Spin-off of the Harris Stratex Networks, Inc.
