Hastings Entertainment, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to operate entertainment superstores that buy, sell, trade, and rent various home entertainment products, including books, music, software, periodicals, new and used CDs, DVDs, video games, video game consoles and electronics. It also offer consumables and trends products such as apparel, t-shirts, action figures, posters, greeting cards and seasonal merchandise. The Group also operates a multimedia entertainment e-commerce web site offering a broad selection of books, software, video games, DVDs and music. It fills orders for new and used product placed at the website and also through Amazon Marketplace using its proprietary goShip program, which allows us to ship directly from stores. As of 31-Mar-2009, the Group operated 153 stores in medium-sized markets located in 21 states, primarily in the Western and Midwestern United States.
