Headwaters, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide products, technologies and services to the energy and construction materials industries. It operates through three segments: Building Products, Alternative Energy and Coal Combustion Products. Building Products Segment designs, manufactures and sells architectural stone and resin-based exterior siding accessories and related products such as shutters, mounting blocks and vents. Alternative energy segment includes traditional coal-based solid alternative fuel business. It also develops and commercializes catalysts and catalytic processes for producing chemicals and converting low-value fossil fuels into high-value alternative fuels.
