Human Genome Sciences Inc. The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market human protein and antibody drugs. The products of the Group are clinical development for chronic hepatitis C, LymphoStat-B(R) for systemic lupus erythematosus and ABthraxtm for inhalation anthrax. The Clinical development includes drugs to treat diseases like cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, hepatitis C, anthrax disease and HIV. It also has a portfolio of novel drugs in earlier stages of development, led by our TRAIL receptor antibodies in mid-stage development for cancer and including substantial financial rights to three novel drugs in the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) clinical pipeline. It is developing Syncria as a treatment for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Syncria is generated from the genetic fusion of human albumin and GLP-1.
