Business Description
Huntington Bancshares Incorporated. The Group's principal activities are to provide banking related services. The operations of the Group are conducted through its subsidiaries which includes full-service commercial and consumer banking services, mortgage banking services, automobile financing, equipment leasing, investment management, trust services and discount brokerage services. It also underwrites credit life and disability insurance, sells other insurance and issues commercial paper and other financial products and services. As on 31-Dec-2008, the Group's subsidiaries had 345 banking offices in Ohio, 115 banking offices in Michigan, 57 banking offices in Pennsylvania, 51 banking offices in Indiana, 28 banking offices in West Virginia, 13 banking offices in Kentucky, 4 private banking offices in Florida and one foreign office in the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong. The Group operates throughout the United States.
