Business Description
Inergy, L.P.. The Group's principal activity is selling, distributing, storing, marketing and trading propane and other natural gas liquids. It operates in two segments: Propane operations and Midstream operations. Propane segment includes sale of propane-related appliances and service work for propane-related equipment, distillate products and wholesale distribution of propane and marketing and price risk management services to other users, retailers and resellers of propane. Midstream segment includes storage of natural gas for third parties, fractionation of natural gas liquids, processing of natural gas, and the distribution of natural gas liquids. It acquired Riverside Gas & Oil Company and Arlington Storage Company LLC in October 2007, Capitol Propane LLC in February 2008, Rice Oil Company in March 2008, Farm & Home Oil Retail Company LLC in April 2008, Little's Gas Service Inc and US Salt LLC in August 2008 and Deerfield Valley Energy Inc in September 2008.
