Business Description
Lakeland Industries, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture and sell a comprehensive line of safety garments and accessories for the industrial protective clothing market. The products include Limited or Disposable Protective Clothing, High-End Chemical Protective Suits, Fire Fighting and Heat Protective Apparel, Gloves and Arm Guards and Reusable Woven Garments. It sells these products through its in-house sales force and independent sales representatives to a network of over 800 safety and mill supply distributors. These distributors in turn supply end user industrial customers such as automobile, steel, glass, chemical/petrochemical, construction, smelting, janitorial, pharmaceutical and high technology electronics manufacturers, as well as hospitals and laboratories. It has manufacturing operations in the United States, Mexico and China. It operates in China, India & United States. On 13-May-2008, it acquired Qualytextil S.A.
