Business Description
Lamar Advertising Company. The Group's principal activity is to provide outdoor advertising services. Its business falls in three areas: Billboard advertising, Logo signs and Transit advertising. It operates 159,000 billboard advertising displays in 44 states, covering the customers' billboard display requirements from ad copy production to placement and maintenance. It operates 100,000 logo sign displays with 19 privatized state logo sign contracts. Logo signs are erected near highway exits to direct motor traffic to service and tourist attractions and to advertise gas, food, camping and lodging. It also provides advertising space on the exterior and interior of public transportation vehicles, transit shelters and benches in 66 markets. The Group operated over 29,000 transit advertising displays in 17 states.
