Business Description
Midas Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to provide retail automotive services. The Group operates 2550 franchised auto service shops in the United States of America and Canada to provide auto repair and maintenance services including exhaust, brake, suspension and air conditioning. The Group's retail shops, which are operated by the Company, its franchisees and licensees, provide repair and maintenance services. The Group also manufactures and distributes exhaust products under the IPC and Ravin brand name and shop equipment under the Huth trademark. In addition, through a subsidiary, it selects, leases, acquires and constructs sites for its shops in North America. As of January 3, 2009, there were 1,576 North American Midas shops located in all 50 U.S. states and nine Canadian provinces.
