Business Description
New Jersey Resources Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to provide and offer retail and wholesale natural gas and energy services. It has two principal business segments: Energy Services and Natural Gas Distribution. Through the Group's principal non-utility subsidiary, NJR Energy Services, the Energy Services segment maintains and trades a portfolio of natural gas storage and transportation positions and provides wholesale energy and energy management services to customers from states in the Gulf Coast and Mid-Continent regions to the New England region and Canada. On the other hand, through the Group's principal utility subsidiary, New Jersey Natural Gas, the Natural Gas Distribution segment provides natural gas utility service to approx 484,000 residential and commercial customers in central and northern New Jersey and participates in the off-system sales and capacity release markets. The Group also has Retail and Other business operations.
