Business Description
Northwest Natural Gas Company. The Group's principal activities are to distribute natural gas and provide natural gas storage services. The Group operates in two segments: Local Gas Distribution and Gas Storage. The Local Gas Distribution involves purchasing gas from producers, transporting the gas over interstate pipelines from the supply basins to the Company's service territory and reselling the gas to customers. The Gas Storage segment provides gas storage services and related transportation services to interstate customers using its storage capacity. It also serves the pulp, paper, electronics, electrochemical, electrometallurgical, farm and food products, minerals, metal fabrication and casting, machine tools, machinery and textiles industries. The Group operates in the United States.
