Business Description
Ntelos Holdings Corp.. The Group's principal activity is to provide wireless & wireline communications services to consumer and business in Virginia and West Virginia. The Group operates in four segments: Wirless PCS, RLEC, Competitive Wireline and Others. Wireless PCS business carries digital phones and services, marketed in the retail and business-to-business channels throughout much of Virginia and West Virginia. RLEC has businesses subject to the regulations of the State Corporation Commission of Virginia. Competitive Wirelines directly or indirectly owns 2,110 route miles of fibre optic network and provides transport services for long distance, Internet and private network services. Other communication services includes certain unallocated corporate related items, and the results from the Group's paging, other communication services and wireline and wireless cable businesses. As of 31-Dec-2008 it has served approximately 435,000 NTELOS-branded retail subscribers with 1,183 cell site.
