Business Description
Patriot Transportation Holding, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to provide transportation services and real estate operations. It operates in two segments. The transportation segment serves customers in the petroleum and building and construction industries which primarily hauls petroleum related bulk liquids, dry bulk commodities and construction materials by motor carrier. The real estate segment owns real estate of which a substantial portion is under mining royalty agreements or leased. This segment also holds certain other real estate for investment and is developing commercial and industrial properties. The real estate group acquires, constructs, leases, operates and manages land and buildings. As of 30-Sep-2008 the Group owned and opereated a fleet of 637 trucks and 1043 trailers.
