It provides its customers a wide variety of third-party branded and exclusive label professional beauty supplies, including hair care products, styling appliances, skin and nail care products and other beauty items. At 30-Sep-2009, it had 2,898 company-operated retail stores and supplied 25 franchised stores and BSG had 829 company-operated stores and supplied 162 franchised stores. The Group distributes its products in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom and certain countries in Europe. On 4-Sep-2009, it acquired Distribuidora Intersalon Limitada. On 30-Sep-2009, it acquired Schoeneman.
