Business Description
L.S. Starrett Company (THE). The Group's principal activities are to manufacture industrial, professional, and consumer measuring and cutting tools and related products. The products of the Group include precision tools, electronic gages, dial indicators, gage blocks, granite surface plates, vision systems, optical measuring projectors, tape measures, levels, chalk products, squares, band saw blades, hole saws, hacksaw blades, jig saw blades, reciprocating saw blades, M1(R) lubricant and precision ground flat stock and drill rod. The customers of the Group include metalworking industry, automotive, aviation, marine, farm, do-it-yourselfers, and tradesmen such as builders, carpenters, plumbers, and electricians. The Group operates in the United States, Georgia, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Germany, Japan, and Argentina. The products are sold throughout the United States and Canada and over 100 foreign countries. As on 17-Jul-2007 the Group acquired Kinemetric Engineering LLC.
