Sun Healthcare Group Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to provide nursing, rehabilitative and related specialty healthcare services. It operates in three segments: Inpatient services provide inpatient skilled nursing and custodial services, rehabilitative, restorative and transitional medical services. Rehabilitation therapy services provide a wide range of rehabilitation therapy services, including speech pathology, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Medical staffing provides licensed therapists skilled in the areas of physical, occupational and speech therapy, nurses, pharmacists, technicians and related medical personnel. As of December 31, 2008, it has23,345 nursing facilities, operated in 213 long-term care facilities consisting of 184 skilled nursing facilities, 15 assisted and independent living facilities, seven mental health. It operates in 19 states in the United States.
