Business Description
Tarragon Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to own, develop and build homes. It operates through two business segments: Homebuilding division and Investment division. Homebuilding division develops, renovates, builds and markets homes in high-density, in-fill locations and in master planned communities and develops and sells lots in single-family subdivisions. Investment division owns, acquires and operates residential and commercial rental properties, including almost 5,000 rental apartment homes. At 31-Dec-2007, it owned and operated over 9,000 apartments in 12 states, including more than 8,400 in our rental communities and over 900 in condominium conversion communities. The Group provides Property management services to 2,798 apartments in three states. It operates in the United States.
