Business Description
United Surgical Partners International, Incorporated. The Group's principal activities is operating short stay surgical facilities including surgery centers and private surgical hospitals in the United States and the United Kingdom. It provides surgical facilities that meet the needs of patients, physicians and payors. The Group develops the facilities through the formation of strategic relationships with physicians and health care systems. As of 31-Dec-2007, the Group operated 155 surgical facilities, consisting of 152 in the United States and three facilities in United Kingdom. Of the 152 U S facilities, 91 are jointly owned with not-for-profit healthcare systems. In 2007, it acquired 30 facilities and additionally opened eight newly constructed facilities.
