Business Description
Vistacare, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide medical care designed to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients with terminal illness and the support of their family members. These services are provided either at the patient's home or other residence of choice, such as a nursing home, assisted living community, hospital or inpatient unit. Inpatient services are provided at its inpatient units and through leased beds at unrelated hospitals and skilled nursing facilities on a per diem basis. The Group provides services in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Utah. As on 30-Sep-2007 the Group operated 47 hospice programs under 34 Medicare provider numbers including six inpatient units, serving approximately 5,000 patients in 14 states.
