West Marine, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are the retail distribution of recreational and commercial boating supplies and apparels. It markets the products through three divisions: Stores, Port Supply and Direct Sales. The Stores operations are conducted under two brand names-Wests Marine and Boat U.S At the end of 2008 there are 344 West Marine stores. The Port Supply division provides the wholesale distribution of marine equipment, serving boat manufacturers, marine services. Direct Sales division, which includes catalog and Internet operations, provides information regard product, pricing and stocking changes, technical information, news, feature stories and other information of interest to boaters. All the three divisions sell recreational boating supplies directly to customers.
